Vidushi Smt. Bhargavi Seshadri, the director of Nrityaranga Performing Arts Academy, is an exponent of the Pandanallur style of Bharatanatyam. Having started learning at the tender age of four, she is an ardent disciple of Guru Vidushi Smt. Kripa Phadke and graduated from the Nrityagiri Performing Arts and Research Centre, Mysuru, India.
As a consummate artist, Bhargavi participated in presentations of Nrityagiri Performing Arts all over India. She is also an expert in the powerful manly dance forms of Karnataka, such as Kamsaale, Veeragaase, Dollu Kunitha, Pooja Kunitha, Pata Kunitha, and the like. Bhargavi teaches Bharatanatyam to a number of students at the Nrityaranga Performing Arts Academy. With her enthusiasm and passion, she inspires in her students a keen desire for learning.
Bhargavi has given performances at all the major Hindu temples in the tri-state. She was part of the production, Karnataka Vaibhava - a journey into the rich art and culture of Karnataka state", that won the Audience Appreciation Award at the SAIPAF 2015 (South Asian International Performing Arts Festival) in New York City.
Bhargavi collaborates and has performed with leading artists in the tri-state area. Under the auspices of Nrityaranga performing arts academy, she has brought out many productions, notable among them -"Satyakarma Jatayu", the story based on Jatayu’s devotion to Dasharatha and Rama, "Samshritha Margadarshi Ramanuja", a thematic story based on teachings of Bhagavad Acharya Sri Ramanuja and the Ramayanam.
Bhargavi serves on the cultural committee at the Sri Guruvayoorappan Temple, in Morganville, NJ. She lives in Staten Island with her husband and family who strongly support her in all her endeavors.
